Flyte Ceiling Fan

The Flyte ceiling fan (F531-BN) is featured in the permanent collection of the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and has won the GOOD DESIGN Award, one of the world's most prestigious design awards. Design: Mark Gajewski, G Squared

Step 1   Select the finish

Please choose the finish of the fan. The blades as shown in the pictures below are always included in a sealed box with the fan. You will get a chance to add optional blades in Step 4 below.

Step 2  Select the downrod length based on your ceiling height

Diagram of the Flyte Ceiling Fan fan.
This fan is OK for a minimum ceiling height of 8 foot 3 inches using optional 6 inch downrod. Optional downrods are also available for high ceilings. To calculate the distance from the ceiling to the bottom of the blades, add the length of the downrod to the dimension on the right of the diagram. For safe blade height subtract this distance from the height of your ceiling at the point where the fan will be mounted and make sure that it is at least 84 inches (7 feet).
